Arthritis Resources
Patients suffering from Arthritis may have physical and mobility limitations, due to pain, bone density and joint problems. VN’s Home Health Physical and Occupational therapy treatment and pain management may be done in coordination with your primary care physician to increase joint movements and range of motion. The organizations below offer additional support groups, counseling and information on Arthritis.
Parkinson’s Resources
Parkinson’s is a chronic disease that, among other things, may result in tremors, rigidity, or stiffness of the limbs and trunk. Our Therapy Team will provide a comprehensive exercise routine focused on strengthening and flexing all limbs, address issues with swallowing and speech, as well as provide tools in addressing the variety of challenges Parkinson’s patients face in maximizing activities of daily living. Stroke Resources
Stroke is an injury to the brain caused by an interruption of the brain’s blood supply. Stroke may produce a variety of affects including muscle weakness, speech deficits, cognitive deficits and an array of other conditions. The VN Home Health clinical team works closely with the patient’s primary physician and specialists to stabilize this condition. The staff also works with the family and resources to assist in the patient attaining maximum physical potential. Additional valuable resources are listed below.
